Sales Engineer - c £45k pa + Car + Bonus + Benefits - Food & Drink - North England / Scotland
A successful Multi-National enterprise operating in over 100 Countries, this business enjoys a market-leading position in the UK, where their industrial products and related equipment are viewed as the undisputed industry leader.
They are currently seeking a Sales Engineer to develop sales within the Food & Drink market, focusing on a territory consisting of Northern England and all of Scotland.
The Sales Engineer appointed will apply their technical understanding of the Food & Drink industry to maximise sales of equipment and applications, selling technical solutions and building strong relationships with Chief Engineers, Operations Directors, Process Engineers, and Project Managers.
The Sales Engineer will demonstrate extensive previous knowledge of the Food & Drink sector and use this knowledge to build rapport and connect with customers, up to Director level. The jobholder will engage in technical dialogue and propose technically challenging solutions that exceed customer expectations and grow sales and profit for the territory.
This role will be split 70% new business and 30% managing existing customers, and the Sales Engineer appointed must have a track record in driving sales growth and hitting targets in a similar position. The Sales Engineer will utilise first-class negotiation skills to maximise sales of industrial equipment, applications and ancillary equipment, generating significant revenue growth, cross-selling and creating new commercial opportunities.
The appointed Sales Engineer will use their exhaustive Food/Drink industry knowledge to build credibility and better understand the customer, leading to the right technical solution being offered and applied. This technically-led and consultative approach will differentiate the business from its competitors, increase the value proposition and enable the company to stay ahead of its rivals.
The successful candidate will be experienced in technical sales and account management, with comprehensive evidence of building strong and profitable relationships with customers in the Food & Drink sector.
Applicants must be able to clearly demonstrate their knowledge of the Food & Drink Industry, including the drivers and challenges facing the industry; And show how they can apply this knowledge to manifest commercial opportunities to explore.
Applicants should live in Northern England or Scotland. Full product training will be provided.
