Melbreck Technical Recruitment is currently assisting our client to secure a number of positions across their engineering business.
A global leader in their chosen field, our client has a vast array of component products, broadly within control systems, power transmission, and drive solutions across thousands of affiliate and partner manufacturers. The application industries in which our clients' products fall is as broad as their range of products. This particular business unit is likely to be featured in industries such as movable bridges, ships, presses, and steel presses. The business has a multi-national presence, employing thousands of people and a multi-billion dollar turnover; this kind of business demands commitment from their people - your commitment will be rewarded with the vast career opportunities that such businesses offer.
Your role as a Design Engineer within the team will be an interesting and diverse one, focused around the fabrication design of the hydraulic systems. Your role will see you involved in project planning, design delivery and cost control. You will be expected to have a commercial approach to your role, to empathise and develop engineers' briefs to provide an efficient and accurate customer-focused solution.
You will be highly skilled in AutoCAD with experience in 3D modelling. Previous work and an understanding of pipework systems would also be a significant advantage. This is a busy design team and your role as a design engineer will require you to be autonomous one day, and completely team-focused on another. You will be used to working to deadlines and will aspire to driving the success of the design team. You must also be qualified to ONC level at least, or the equivalent, in mechanical engineering.
You must be within commuting distance of the South Leeds area, as this is an office based role.
