Business Systems Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITY'S

Business Support (Primary Responsibility)

-Driving business use of the applications, providing training where necessary.
-Requirements gathering where applicable (URS / RFP)
-Analysis of business process workflow and make recommendations for process improvement.
-Assist in the enhancement/modification of business systems through analysis, clarification and definition of user requirements.
-Identification of workarounds or specification of system change requests to provide standard solutions to identified issues.
-Identification of opportunities to drive further benefit out of system investments already made.
-Identification and sharing of best practice to drive further commonality in systems.
-Development and delivery of training material to end users on all standard applications.
-Proactive management of support issues, including liaison with suppliers.
-Managing systems change requests for local applications (e.g. Risk assessments, approvals)
-Requires effective communication and team skills, the ability to formulate clear recommendations on technical issues and a drive to achieve within aggressively set timelines and objectives.

Application Support (Primary Responsibility)

-Provide 2nd - 3rd Line support & maintenance to key critical applications.
-Undertaking problem triage and responding to helpdesk calls in a timely and effective manner.
-Applying the ability to discover, troubleshoot and fix software problems.
-Develop, test & document software changes/releases in accordance with internal standards and industry best practice
-Provide technical guidance to both customers & other team members and in doing so demonstrate the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
-Manage vendor relationships/contracts/licenses etc.
-Maintain &, where necessary, create support documentation (e.g. SOPs, User Guides, Support Guides)
-Work closely with the Global Service Centre support team

Project Work (Secondary Responsibility)

-Leadership of small/medium projects through whole lifecycle
-Co-ordination and communication within project team and to key stakeholders.
-Create and maintain agreed project documentation including policies and procedures, status reports, system design, process flows and project presentations.
-Conducts project meetings and leads training sessions.
-Ensures all IT security risks, and IS validation needs are covered in the development and deployment of systems.
-Participate when appropriate in large scales projects that are managed and run at a global level.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

Experience

-With at least 3 years business analysis experience (Degree or equivalent qualification)
-Good understanding of health & personal care and pharmaceutical environments.
-Experience in business facing roles working closely with key business contacts/directors.
-Demonstrable track record of maintainingSLAs, contributing to projects and achieving results.
-Knowledge of Healthcare systems is a distinct advantage
-Experience of ITIL methodologies for application management is desirable
-Experience of project methodologies such as Prince II is desirable
-Experience of release strategies is desirable
-Experience of leading a small project, or deputising on a larger project throughout the lifecycle.
-Knowledge of Healthcare validation requirements, including risk based methodologies.
-Experience of leading a small project, or deputising on a larger project throughout the lifecycle.

IT SKILLS

- Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and Network Infrastructure is a must
- Having knowledge of SQL, Oracle and Sharepoint would also be very advantageous
